Esteban Ocon rose from a modest background in Évreux to Mercedes junior honours and an Alpine race seat. His defensive discipline and tyre management produced a famous first win in Hungary. In 2025 he moved to Haas, scoring 38 points and sharing fifteenth in the drivers’ table while the American team fought for midfield scraps.
