Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez

Mexico City Grand Prix

The Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in Mexico City is one of the most vibrant and unique venues on the Formula 1 calendar. Named in honor of legendary Mexican racing drivers Ricardo and Pedro Rodríguez, the circuit sits more than 2,200 meters above sea level, making it the highest-altitude track in Formula 1. This thin-air environment presents a unique challenge for teams and drivers, affecting aerodynamics, engine cooling, and braking performance throughout the race weekend.

The circuit combines long straights with technical corners that reward both speed and precision. The long run down the main straight provides a prime overtaking opportunity into Turn 1, while the middle sector features a series of flowing corners that test balance and rhythm. One of the most iconic parts of the lap is the stadium section, where the track winds through the famous Foro Sol baseball stadium, creating an incredible atmosphere as thousands of fans surround the cars on both sides.

The Mexico City Grand Prix is renowned for having some of the most passionate fans in motorsport. The energy inside the stadium section is unlike anywhere else in Formula 1, with massive crowds cheering every lap. Combined with the unique high-altitude challenge and the vibrant culture of Mexico City, the event delivers an unforgettable spectacle and remains one of the most popular races on the Formula 1 calendar.
