Yas Marina Cicuit

Abu Dhabi Grand Prix

The Yas Marina Circuit hosts the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and serves as the traditional season finale for the Formula 1 World Championship. Located on Yas Island just outside Abu Dhabi, the circuit made its debut on the F1 calendar in 2009 and quickly became known for its modern design and spectacular setting. Surrounded by luxury hotels, a marina filled with yachts, and world-class entertainment venues, the circuit offers one of the most visually impressive backdrops in Formula 1.

The track features a mix of long straights, tight corners, and flowing sections that challenge drivers and reward strategic racing. Two long straights connected by a tight chicane create key overtaking opportunities, while the slower final sector demands careful control and traction. One of the circuit’s most distinctive features is the section that passes underneath the illuminated Yas Viceroy hotel, creating a striking visual moment during the race.

The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix at Yas Marina begins at sunset and finishes under the floodlights, transitioning from daylight to night as the race unfolds. This unique twilight setting adds to the spectacle and drama of the championship finale. With its glamorous atmosphere, dramatic lighting, and often decisive role in the title battle, the Abu Dhabi race has become one of the most important and memorable events on the Formula 1 calendar.
